Terms of Use

In short: QR Mudra is free for personal and commercial use. The QR codes you create are yours. Don't use the service for anything illegal or harmful, and understand that the service is provided as-is.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using qrmudra.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

QR Mudra is a free, browser-based tool that generates static QR codes from content you provide — including URLs, text, WiFi credentials, UPI payment details, contact cards, and other supported formats. All generation happens locally on your device. We do not store the codes you create and cannot modify or revoke them after download.

3. Your QR codes and your content

• You retain all rights to the content you encode and to the QR code images you download. You may use them freely for personal, business, and commercial purposes, without attribution.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you encode, including verifying payment details (such as UPI IDs and crypto wallet addresses) before distributing a code.
• If you encode personal data belonging to other people (for example, in a vCard), you are responsible for having the right to do so.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create QR codes that:

• link to malware, phishing pages, or other content designed to deceive or harm;
• facilitate fraud, including fake payment requests or impersonation of another person or business;
• distribute content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of the people who will scan the code;
• infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.

You also agree not to attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the operation of the website.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. While we test generated codes carefully, we do not guarantee that every QR code will be readable by every scanner in every condition — readability depends on factors such as print size, colour contrast, surface, lighting, and the scanning device. Always test a code before printing it at scale or using it for payments.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QR Mudra and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost business, or losses arising from misdirected payments, unreadable codes, or third-party misuse of codes — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Service, which is zero.

7. Third-party services and advertising

The site may display advertisements served by third parties and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Intellectual property

The QR Mudra name, logo, site design, and site content are the property of the Service operator. The underlying QR encoding library (qrcode-generator) is © Kazuhiko Arase and used under the MIT licence. QR Code® is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED; its use on this site is purely descriptive.

9. Changes to the service or terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also revise these terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
